ARMAN

1928 - 2005

Is a French painter, sculptor and visual artist, member of the New Realism movement, famous for “his accumulations”. He was one of the first to directly use manufactured objects as pictorial material, which represented for him the natural and multiple extensions of the human hand that undergo a continuous cycle of production, consumption and destruction. The artist's work, through the impression, the cuts or the anger, has always been centered on the question of the object, this is its major characteristic. Arman is present in the collections of the largest museums of contemporary art in the world and has installed more than 100 public monuments around the world.
