GERARD GUYOMARD
1936
Is a French painter, with a very personal pictorial technique, above all anti-conformist. Gérard Guyomard is a free man who broke with the dominant post-war abstractions, a formidable brewer and mixer of images and an Epicurean painter. In a lively and acidic palette, his lines meander between several possible forms, pass from the inside to the outside, from one motif to another, upside down, without hierarchy or end. The superposition of objects, scenes of all sizes, intertwined, allow him to restore the sensation of the third dimension through transfers, transparencies of lines and signs. Gérard Guyomard created his vocabulary of images inspired mainly by everyday life.
