HERVÉ DI ROSA

HIS WORKS

Hervé Di Rosa (1959) is a French painter.
He studied at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
Co-founder of the Free Figuration movement, Hervé Di Rosa is the designer of Modest Art, and inventor of the International Museum of Modest Arts in Sète.
Without claiming a particular style, he practices all the techniques of creation.
Between the end of the 1970s and the mid-1980s, he created “his Diromythology”: a hundred characters who became emblematic, populating his paintings and evolving in a complex universe combining comic books, image culture, classical art and contemporary creation.
Since 1981, his works have been the subject of more than 200 solo exhibitions and are present in important public and private collections in Europe, America and Asia.
